Saying that the Recovery is the cheapest and most effective way to transform your system would be an understatement and the ISO Recovery offers that level of performance again. There are many uses for such device in a USB path but the most tangible (and fun) experience is connected to the input of a DAC. Some Q & A on the Recovery:

What is the ISO Recovery?
The ISO Recovery is an affordable, compact audio device that intercepts the USB signal between the DAC and computer to do two critical things:
1. Galvanically Isolate and provide cleaner power -with a pure DC upgrade option.
2. Supply an independently clocked source for the USB encoded data.
This "pre-conditioning" of the USB signal provides the DAC a much cleaner, consistent, truer signal resulting in noticeably improved audio fidelity and much lower noise floor.
 
What can I expect to hear differently?
You will notice a more focused and a better-placed sound stage with blacker backgrounds. Similar to the Femto upgrade on our DAC, we found that the much better timing allows for more accurate bass and finer details in the micro-dynamic regions. At first, this might seem like a more ‘forward’ sound but what you are hearing is more of what you have not heard in the past. As the Recovery breaks in, it will continue to improve. The ISO Recovery adds more depth, texture and engagement.
 
I already own a Wyred 4 Sound DAC with Femto clock. Will the Recovery still benefit me?
Absolutely! The two devices do separate things. The clocking in the DAC has no control over when or how it receives its signal from the sources. The Recovery works to greatly improve the incoming signal before the DAC receives it, so perfecting that allows the DAC to shine even more. The internal clock accuracy and jitter elimination of the DAC can mitigate some of the input jitter, but is no replacement for correcting it beforehand providing a better stream of that data. These go hand in hand and offer compounding effects.
 
What is the key difference between the Recovery and other audio USB 'filtering' devices?
The design and thinking behind the Recovery is based on previous successes, and was built from the ground up to be superior in addressing timing and power inadequacies. Naturally, we learn from our previous designs and improve with progression so we can offer higher level products over time. 
 
Will I need to install drivers? Is it plug and play? 
No drivers needed. Just insert it between your computer and DAC, plug power into the wall and you're good to go.
 
Will I need yet another USB cable?
No, we assume you will use your existing USB cable. We supply a short (6") cable and a USB A to USB B adaptor (your choice) intended to go from Recovery to DAC.
 
Usage: Simply plug your USB cable from your computer/source into the Recovery and the included USB cable from the Recovery to your DAC. Then power the Recovery with the supplied power supply from the wall. Plug 'n play!

Greater clarity with natural tone!

I purchased one of the new ISO Recoveries! I was so happy with the improvement that I purchased another one! I have a premium Swiss made DAC and it made a significant improvement over direct USB connection. I believe any DAC will have improved clarity and naturalness with the ISO Recover! Highly recommended!

Excellent Upgrade for USB connection

I was already a fan of the original Recovery. The ISO recovery provided a noticeable improvement over the original and adding the DC Recovery brings an even further refined sound.

Recovery

After speaking with EJ, I decided to but the Recovery and the DC upgrade option to use between my laptop and PS audio Nuwave dac. WOW, what a difference. This addition really improved SQ and was a great purchase at a reasonable price. EJ is very knowledgeable and also great to work with. Highly recommended.

The Recovery(s) are the most cost effective upgrade I have purchased since I got hooked on hi-end...

I recently contacted EJ Sarmento to gain some intelligence on an upgrade or new model to the 10th Anniversary DAC. I did not get much other than he is in the planning stage. He then recommended the ISO Recovery and Recovery DC products as a cost effective upgrade in performance and I went with his recommendation. The Recovery(s) are the most cost effective upgrade I have purchased since I got hooked on hi-end in 1977. Upon initial installation the Recovery(s) had digital glare and grain so be sure you burn in the units for at least 100 to 200 hours. Also, the 6 inch USB provided should be replaced with a USB of your choice. I use WyWires Platinum and I had a custom 1 foot USB made. I also upgraded the power supply to an IFI Power X. Both of these compounded the improvements of adding the Recovery(s) to my system. My review of the Recovery(s) are with the configuration described. So what are the improvements realized you ask? Digital glare and grain was further reduced. This is evident on high quality female vocal recordings line Katja Werka, What the Bird Said, Contact Myself, and Sara K, Destination, Water Falls. The tone and timbre of the vocals and guitars are reproduced without an artificial digital sheen that was present before even though I did not notice and with more liquidity. This produces a more silent background which, in turn, enhanced air and space between performers, and increased ambience and reproduction of secondary harmonics and decay. Continued on PT 2...

On Faces of God, Tuvayun, the individual performers in the choir have space between and air around them. The ambiance of the recording venue is better captured with the back of the hall more evident. Micro and macro dynamics are improved. This contributes to secondary harmonic and decay retrieval and better leading edge and back edge (stop) reproduction of each note. This is also evident on percussion and string instruments on Faces of God. Bass is more formidable and detailed. The bass on Leonard Cohen, By th Rivers Dark, Ten New Songs has body and weight where the note progress outward and moves into the sound field like the image of a stone thrown into a pond with concentric ripples moving out from the point of impact. The bass on Steve Strauss Just Like Love (album of the same name) is deep, forceful, detailed with secondary harmonics, macro and micro dynamics evident in the growl of each note. I highly recommend adding the ISO Recovery and Recovery DC as a pair as a cost effective and tangible improvement in SQ and PRAT to any DAC. I find the combination with the 10 Anniversary compelling, creating a detailed, dynamic, liquid, palpable and engaging reproduction with dead-on timbre and excellent staging and imaging. System: Vivid Giya G3, Burmester 032, 10 Anniversary with ISO and DC Recovery, Aurender N100H, Shunyata Denali V1, WyWires Platinum Full Loom, Audio Art Statement Bi-Wire Speaker Cables, Symposium Platforms and Roller Blocks, Townsend Seismic Platforms.
