Bring your digital sources together with the Wyred 4 Sound DAC-2v2 Series. Connect through USB, optical, coaxial, AES/EBU, or I²S, and use the remote-controlled volume adjustment with your preamplifier or directly with a power amplifier.

USB and I²S support PCM playback up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD256. Choose the standard DAC-2v2, add the optional Femto-grade clock, or select the DAC-2v2 SE for upgraded components and the Femto clock as standard.

Choose your DAC-2v2

The DAC-2v2 pairs an ESS Sabre 9028PRO DAC chip with proprietary discrete output stages and fully balanced circuitry.

The DAC-2v2 with Femto clock upgrade adds a higher-precision master clock designed to reduce phase jitter and phase noise.

The DAC-2v2 SE uses the ESS Sabre 9038PRO DAC chip and includes the Femto-grade clock. Additional upgrades include Vishay Z-Foil resistors, ultra-low-noise discrete regulators, ultra-fast-recovery Schottky diodes, premium-grade inductors, and a green OLED display.

Connect your digital sources

Use the optical, coaxial, AES/EBU, USB, or I²S input to connect compatible digital equipment.

The USB input features galvanic isolation to help keep computer noise out of the audio signal. USB and I²S support PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD256.

The I²S connection uses an HDMI connector, but it is not a standard HDMI audio/video input. Confirm source compatibility before connecting.

Use with or without a separate preamplifier

Built-in, remote-controlled volume adjustment lets the DAC-2v2 Series connect directly to a power amplifier in an all-digital system. The remote also lets you switch between the DAC’s inputs.

Prefer to keep your existing preamplifier? Select Fixed Mode in the DAC’s setup menu to bypass its volume control and adjust listening levels through your preamplifier.

USB playback and computer compatibility

Mac and Linux support driverless DSD playback. Windows USB playback requires a driver installation.
